Ruins of the Tokiwabashi Gate
A designated National Historic Site of Japan: Gate leading to Nikkokaido and Oshukaido.
One of the gates that guards the castle built in 1629. It used to lead to the Otemon, the front gate of Edo Castle. It was in ruins for some time, but was designated as a Historical Site of Japan in 1928. It has been transformed into a park. There is a stone arch bridge, the old Tokiwabashi Bridge, in front of the gate.
