Summer tradition to quietly dance around the yagura with Kudoki.
From Edo period, Tsukuda has been held Bon Festival Dance as an old lunar calendar Bon event.
Bon Festival Dance kept going forward and back with monotone rhythm of Japanese drum and song under the thin light by paper lanterns hung out around the wooden stage.
You will feel sorrow and sentimentally by this unique Bon Festival Dance.
This Bon Festival Dance has been held as of today for deceased person's memorial service.
Tsukudajima Bon Festival (Tokyo Metropolitan intangible folk cultural properties) is precious traditional folk entertainment remained in Edo period.
